Readying your home for the spring market.
Marie Kondo did not invent the concept of decluttering. Who would not want Joy Sparked every time they entered their home? In reality, most of us struggle with keeping a tidy house regardless of our season of life. In January, February and March in Alabama, it can rain eight days out of seven…Definitely a time when the blues can set in. It's a great time to ready your house for the market! Literally or figuratively! Make a list of all the things you would do if you were going to list your home (with the NicastroGroup of course) on April 1st. I often advise clients to take it room by room. It is much more satisfying to begin and end in one space and see the results, than bounce from one end of your home to another. Plan two hours each weekend to tackle a specific room or space. All during the week, anticipate what you will need in the way of containers or supplies to make it market ready. The beauty of this, of course, is that come spring time, your interiors will be ready for our photographer!...and you can begin your exterior checklist. The weather will be beautiful. No worries, we will help you with that checklist come spring! We found even more great advice in the article "Decluttering Your Entire Home" on The Spruce, check it out.
